Hi Shnoodles!
Just following up on this thread so it is not lost to obscurity.
Let the record show that I lost by only 3 points!
And Duddles got 3 points of his very own!
And Leo did not make an appearance.
And Guillermo won it all.
The set was very fancy.
Montages were very long.
Schlop still very fuzzy!

Hey you Shnood guys!
We all remember when Hugh hosted and asked the age-old questions: How come comic book movies never get nominated? How can a billion dollars be unsophisticated?
Well, it seems the Schlopscars have had a change of heart and there will now be an Oscar for achievement by a 'Popular Movie'.
Cool!
Also the Schlopscars will air earlier - on February 9th this year. And they will only be 3 hours long.

It appears the Schlopscars have had a change of heart and the short-lived Popular Schlopscar is no more.
It truly was an idea ahead of it's time and like a dream has disappeared into the ether.

Hey you Schlopscar guys,
They have just announced the host of the 2019 Schlopscars - Kevin Hart!
He is an actor you might know from Jumanji.
Lee found an article saying how many people don't want to host the Schlopscars - and I completely agree. It would be too hard to keep tally of the Oscar Shnoods while also trying to host the show.

Whoa - thanks Nibs for covering the Schlopscars news! It is good to have a bear on West Coast time to keep tabs on the Hollywood deets.
I wonder who they will get for the new host. I know Duddles has some experience as a host of the Battle of the Bands - but he might be a little trepidatious to take on the role after his bad press from that event.
Schlop could also do it but he has some questionable tweets in his past that might cause a kerfuffle.
What about Stu and Hugh co-hosting?

How many times will I have to post in this thread that neither Kevin Hart NOR Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson were in the classic 1995 movie called Jumanji.
They were in the sequel entitled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
I expected better of you as a moderator, Nibs. Tsk-tsk.

So I guess there will just be Oscars on stage and people can wander up to take what they want?

Big Shnood News today: the nominations have been announced! The big story is that there has finally been a comic book movie nominated for best picture: Black Panther. (Schlopkanda forever!)
We finally have the answer to Hugh's age-old question: How come comic movies never got nominated? The answer: they just need to have more meme references, like "What are thooooose!"
It's just 33 days until the big show - I can't wait myself!

The outrages keep on coming - I just heard that only 2 of the 5 best song nominees will be performed at the show.
And get this - one of the songs they won't perform is The Place where Lost Schlops Go from Mary Poppins!
Lin is understandably very steamed about this. Duddles is steamed too because that was his favorite song because he is always looking for lost things like Petri and his nose. Heck, I'm steamed as well!
It's like Thanos' snap took out half the Oscars!
