Winter Olympics

Hey gang. Has anyone been checking out the Winter Olympics? (It's the one with all the snow). There are some funny events. Which lead me to wondering - what event would you guys like to compete in if you were in the Winter Olympics? I'm particularly interested to hear what Nibs has to say on the matter...

As for me, I would like to do the ice skating (like with Michelle Kwan).

Interesting post, Snuffles - kudos to you!

I know exactly which sport I would like to do. I just saw it on TV - it is pairs speed skating where one person does a couple of laps and then pushes their partner on their rear so it is their turn to do a couple laps - repeat ad infinitum ad naseum! I think it is so silly that they push each other on their rears to give them a speed boost. I really want to give it a go.

Gulliver,

I thought you wanted to be in the Couples-Synchronized-Recreating-Wicked performance (on the ice). You can't be in both you know.

I want to compete in curling...

Faster than a speeding Schlop

Nibs you can be the puck in curling! Ha ha ha.

I want to do 2 man bobsled with Schlop. Zoom zoom.

By the way... let's just get this out up front... no sports in the Winter Olympics involve eating... keep this in mind when you other St Louis bears give your answers.

Just a heads up...

Check out what gold-medal winning snowboarder Hannah Teter had to say in an interview!

If you could really be good in a different sport, which one would it be?
I really like Hoola-Hooping. I don't know if that's a sport yet. But I might make it a sport. I'm kind of into that. I'm gonna be Hoola-Hooping soon, and then you're gonna be interviewing me about that.

I believe that young stuffed-looking fellow would still enjoy the prospect of obtaining a Hula Hoop.

I just did some research on where this entire nonsensical idea began:

Just plain Nutty!

Whoa! That Wikipedia article on the Chipmunks is so interesting.

Can you believe that thing about the Nutty Squirrels?! How they tried to rip off the Chipmunks! Crazy.

Those Nutty Squirrels are bizarre. They're like sophisticated Jazz squirrels... look at them:

Giant Slalom.
Petri, that sounds very dangerous. Are you sure you don't want to do the curling up by the fireplace event with me? Hoo.

Bear in the olympics

Check this out! This guy won the Olympics but they got confused and he got a bear! That bear looks cool! I bet he likes chocolates...
Torino Olympic officials were apparently so surprised that a black man won an event that they gave him a teddy bear instead of a gold medal. I hope that’s something that they soon rectify, and they better let him keep the teddy bear, too.

Great post Mr. Shnoodles!

That's quite a nice hat that bear is wearing. I wonder where he got it?
