Bear Mascots

Post by Nibs »

I'm surprised we don't more often discuss the fuzzy mascots of various sports teams on here.

Anysneech we recently learned about the CAL BEARS, who we always approve of because they are bears....

And it turns out their MAIN BEAR is named OSKIE.

How do we feel about that?

It seemed important to document and archive.

Cool post Nibs!

I myself am hoping to become a mascot one day - I just need to work on my dance moves.

I have been studying the moves of Cosmo the Cougar from BYU - I know he isn't a bear but he still seems pretty fuzzy - what do you think Nibs?

Bat vs Bear!

Post by Snuffles »

Somehow a bat got loose in the Utah Jazz arena and it was flying around and spooking all the players out during their pregame warmup.

Everyone was trying to catch the bat, but no one could until Jazz Bear did!
"That was scary," Mitchell told reporters. "I was not cool with that at all. I'm glad the bear got him because I would not have finished my warm-up."

Some heroes wear masks and capes. In Utah, the conquering hero wears a Jazz Bear costume.
Yay Jazz Bear!
