Cacao nibs
It is true we went to a Chocolate Factory Nibs.
They were making people wear hair nets and beard nets and they made me wear a full body net. Outrageous!
I still had a good time though and got to see a 3 lb chocolate turkey. I bet you've never seen that before Nibs!

Zupancakes
Hazelnut Chocolate Artisan Rolled Wafers
We just got these in the post from the exotic locale of Philo, Illinois.
I think I will have a wafer to go along with a nice cuppa tea.
Cool beans!

Stews in the works
Big news coming in from the Schlop Coast where we are hearing tales of slow cooking bonanzas
Such as:
Spanish Beef Stew with oodles of Green Olives
Goulash with Beef Stew Cubes
Personally if I was Stu I would feel a little nervous about going back to Schlop's lair now that he has gotten a taste for Stewed meats

Breaking news
Mom was visiting St Louis for the weekend and we've been piecing together reports of what was eaten.
So far we have eye witness accounts to support the following:
* Blueberry pancakes
* Omelets!
* Italian Toast!!
* Possibly Lincoln Park Pi Pizza
* A chicken quesadilla
The desserts correspondent has been slow to return our calls.
We've also been looking into whether any zoo snacks were consumed.
There's talk of possibly a TGIF or Red Lobster meal in Illinois but sources have not confirmed.
More as we know it!

La La Foods
So many back to back trips!
I just landed in Portland and ate possibly the best berry granola parfait of my life.
But this thread is to report on the novel LA foodstuffs we had last week!
This included:
The fanciest sushi meal of our lives. It came in 9 courses, each one a different fish and some were astounding! And then came hand rolls which are like ice cream cones but made out of seaweed. They were cold and crispy but inside the rice was warmed and it was shocking and delicious!
We had Cuban pastries, that would explode DJ's mind! One was a potato ball, so good. One was a sweet croissant flaky thing with meat and potatoes inside. Savory breakfast treats! One was guava and cheese and tasted like the food of the gods. Unbelievable.
We also went across town to get the Best Pastrami sandwich in the US. It was great and the rye bread was so soft and had a perfect crunch crust. Astounding.
We waited in line to get trendy breakfast tacos- chicken and jalapeño and potato on corn tortillas. We had Chai tea with James Franco, asynchronously. We had gnocchi puttanesca, not the best.
We went to a very fancy vegan spot for brunch and had an Earl Grey Blueberry danish- what! Then lemon poppyseed pancakes that were so light and fluffy. Then an arugula salad and biscuits and gravy that was scrumptious!
Nick also had homemade chicken soup that was quite good and his roommates had made bread from scratch!
All in all a trip of very notable foodstuffs that will be talked about for some time!

The feast is in
Bears! This is a strange alignment of unbelievable feasts happening right now... and I for one am not complaining!
Jeanee wanted to take us to a cool place that had a bunch of "tapas" type small plates but during Happy Hour everything was half off!
So here is what we ate:
* Yucatan fries with dipping sauce
* Asian hot wings
* Coconut Shrimp with mango sauce
* Fried wontons with shrimp and cheese
* Grilled Frogs Legs (I did not eat these, was too scared)
* Escargot on cheesy toast (tried one and let Phil finish them)
* Vegetable curry with rice
* Tilapia on rice
Phil and Jeanee also had wine and beer.
Lee picked up the tab and it was somehow only $38.
Unbelievable!!!

Not feeling so fuzzy
Hi Nobs.
You seem to be eating an awfully lot of exotic foods.
I was feeling not so fuzzy today so for Schlopsgiving I just had some lightly toasted toast and some water.
Reading about all these foods you are snarfing down... make me feel like I might... hold on... did you say frogs legs?...
... I will need to lie down for awhile. Snuffles can you bring me a saltine please?

Delicious package?
St Louis bears are murmuring about a mysterious package that may have arrived...
And may have something edible in it....
Snources can neither confirm or deny...
Will send more bears to investigate!

Break me off a piece of that
You may have heard that Schlop is a fan of Kit-Kats - well Today I Learned (or TIL as the kids say) that Kit-Kats are popular in Japan because the name sounds similar to the phrase kitto kattsu which means "you will surely win"
That is why they have so many Kit-Kat flavors in Japan - like green bean, baked potato, and butter. Duddles might be interested in the Caramel macchiato McFlurry flavor. They even have pizza with Kit-Kat toppings.
Cool!

Nibs on the fly
Speaking of kit-kats - I just heard that Nibs has taken flight to go to the other side of the globe and on the plane they will be serving a Kit Kat mid-flight!
Wow!
I hope Nibs will be awake when the Kats get distributed. I wonder what flavor it will be? Kiwi-flavor?
I also heard he will get some herb bread hoo hoo
