Sports

Post by Rafiki »

I find it certainly difficult to ascertain why the topic of Sporting Events does not appear on these forums....

Nevertheless, I just wanted to proliferate my frustrations and vocalize:

Damm shame about the Warriors.

Rafiki is still alive??

I thought you died when we drove West.

I thought that explained the stench coming from Nibs' side of the car...

Nibs did it

Post by DJ »

Nibs has long been predicting Villanova to go all the way. And this year they actually did it. It was an incredibly exciting finish which Nibs was too nervous to watch because he was afraid of jinxing it.

Congrats to Villanova and to Nibs and to the Piccolo girl.

Go Dubs!

Post by Nibs »

I know that we bears don't usually spend much time thinking about BASKETBALL but if the Warriors win tomorrow night then that is back-to-back championships for the guys just down the street from where Schlop lives.

I'll at least do a little bounce and figured it was worth logging in the forums.

Also, whatthesneech?

According to this thread, Rafiki was apparently rooting for the Warriors way back in 07?

Ahead of his time, that monkey....

Sorry Nibs

Hi Nibs. I hope you aren't feeling too down about the Dubs right now. Winning is easy, young man, repeating is harder.

It has been said but it bears repeating:

Damn shame about the Warriors.

One can only hope that in another 9 years things will look more promising.

Bati-no

Post by DJ »

Back in the day Lee was a big fan of Batistuta aka Batigol and even signed up on his fan page so she could be notified of all his goals. (She was also a big Mark McGuire fan and got email updates about his dingers but that's another story)

Well Messi has recently tied Batistuta's record of goals scored in international games, and today US is playing Argentina. I wonder if Messi will break the record tonight.

Batigol will always be numero uno in Lee and me's book.

It appears I may not have to wait 9 years after all

What with the Warriors procuring 7-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant.

They now have what I would call a plethora of riches par excellence.

Here here!

Dubs did it

Post by DJ »

I don't know much about Sportsball but it appears that Nibs' and Rafiki's favorite team The Dubs have won it all this year.

Congrats to the Dubs.

Although it seems a bit unfair they have so many good players. It would be like if all the super babies decided to band together - it would be unfair to the other babies is what I am saying.

Villanova are my Champions

Post by Nibs »

You guys!

Villanova once again made it to the NCAA finals! My favorite team!

I know they won it all in 2016 so it's not so unusual anymore but I'm still so very proud of them and proud to be their #2 fan (after the piccolo girl).

Regardless of what happens tonight, I'm so proud of Dear Villanova!

Hooooooo!

Ping the Pong

Post by Snuffles »

Lee and I played some epic Ping Pong matches!

I spotted her 15 points and she beat me in one game!

Then I came back and won 10 games in a row!

It was fun!

Morning Report

Post by Rafiki »

I do declare, the Warriors are going for a sweep in the finals tonight.

I believe there will be quite a celebration amongst these bears who live around these parts. I might even be up for a little party myself.

As the young cubs say, Dub Town is in the hizzy!
