Hey Peaches.

Right now I'm listening to the new song from Nelly Furtado called 'Say it Right.' It's really cool.

Duddles likes it too because her name is Fur tado. Go figure!

A music thread on the Schlop site?!?

Muffins!

Hi. Cool thread peaches!

My favorite song is called Muffin Man by Frank Zappa (did you guys know he named his daughter Diva Muffin Zappa?). It really expresses a lot my world view and it rocks too! Here are the lyrics:
The Muffin Man is seated at the table in the laboratory of the utility
muffin research kitchen.

Reaching for an oversized chrome spoon,
he gathers an intimate quantity of dried muffin remnants.

Brushing his scapular aside, he proceeds to dump these inside
of his shirt.

He turns to us and speaks, "Some people like cupcakes better, I for one
care less for them."

Arrogently twisting the sterile canvas snoot of a fully-charged icing
annointment utencil, he puts forth a quarter ounce green rossette near
the summit of a dense but radiant muffin of his own design.

Later he says, "Some people, like cupcakes exclusively while myself I
say there is naught, nor ought there be nothing so exhalted on the face of
god's gray earth, as that prince of foods, the muffin.

Girl, you thought he was a man, but he was a muffin.
he hung around till you found that he didn't know nothing.
Girl, you thought he was a man, but he only was a puffin.
No cries is heard in the night as a result of him stuffin.
I will play the song for you Lee when you come to visit!

Brookers, eh?

MiniNibs...

What gives me the sinking feeling that you have watched EVERY Brookers video that is out there? Sheesh, how do you find out about this stuff? Internet sensation? Maybe in the world of 13 year olds.

I'm gonna ask Nibs to start putting a restriction on what can and can't be posted before our site resembles all the other teeny bopper blogs out there. LOL, miniNibs, thanks for single-handedly lowering the status of our forums once again.

sheesh

A puffin? Why I never...

Whoa! Muffins!

That song is so cool!!!

I can't imagine what it must sound like. Is it sung slowly? Like a folk song?

I can't believe he uses Puffin! Are you sure you didn't make that up? And the part about cupcakes??

That's really neat. Thanks for the reat music news. And good job starting a music thread Peaches, this is awesome!

Gracias para el elf

Hey miniNibs

Thanks for posting something about Legolas. That was pretty funny.

Remember when I had that cutout of Aragorn? She must've gotten hers from the same place. Too bad I don't have the Orlando one, that looked really cool.

Who's Numa? A Mexican band?

Cool muffins

I'm glad you liked the song Nibs! To answer your question, it is sung in the style of a muffin song.

When I looked up the lyrics, they didn't include the line about the puffin. But on my version it sounds like he says puffin. You can be the judge when I play it for you when you come visit and we make more muffins.

Hey Lee, that's cool that you liked the Legalos video. Too bad you don't still have Aragorn or else you could make your own video with him.

PB if you want to read more about Brookers you can start with her wikipedia entry:

I haven't watched all of her videos, but here is another one I did happen to catch the other day (you might recognize the song):

Numa numa is a from a Romanian pop group. If you want to read more about the Numa numa phenomenon you can here:

Hey gang - I've got some more youtube music for anyone who is interested. Lately I have been thinking about getting a hobby like learning to play the electric guitar since I don't have much to do each day (except surf youtube). These are two videos of electric guitar playing people:

Here is a guy playing Pachelbel's Canon (more than 6 million people have viewed it!):

And here is a guy playing Muffin's favorite song, but unfortunately he doesn't sing along. But at least you can hear what type of song it is:

Wow! This is soooo great. Thanks all of you guys for posting. You guys are the best. Did you know that Frank Zappa also wrote a song called Peaches en Regalia??? Mini-nibs told me about it. I wonder what it is about? Let me know if you guys ever hear it!

Well... everything is going so great with this thread ... but I just wish that - that Sneeches would post here too. SNEECHES - I know you have an unusual taste in music and you think all the other bears will laugh at you when you say what your favorite song is... but I don't think they will. All these bears are really nice and I am sure you will fit right in. So whadya say Sneeches?

Hey you guys.

Cool thread Peaches. Good work.

Lately I have been grooving to the album Come on feel the Illinoise by Sufjan Stevens. He has announced plans to write an album about each of the 50 states, and so far has done Michigan and Illinois. It's a great album. You guys should check it out if you are interested in Illinois stuff like me.

My favorite song is They Are Night Zombies! They are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From The Dead!! Ahhhhhh! I am listening to it right now!
