Jeopardy Amy won her 39th game today which means she is now in second place for all time wins, behind only Ken!

Congrats to Amy and hugs to Outdoors Bear!

What a shocker - the St Louis bears signed up for a Youtube TV account just to watch Jeopardy Amy play - but in the second game they watched she finally lost.

What a remarkable run of 40 games! Bears are glad they got to meet Outdoors Bear along the way, and hopefully we will get a pic soon of Penny the Penguin who is Amy's quarantine penguin cooking friend.

This upcoming Tournament of Champions will be one of the most exciting ever since it will feature Matt going up against Amy - I can't wait to see that!

Mohawk Mania

It turns out the St Louis bears still get youtube tv for the rest of the month - so they have continued watching Jeopardy even after Amy is gone. There is now a new 3-day champ who is named Dave and get this - he has a purple mohawk! Mohawk Dave is a writer who used to be an aerospace engineer and has tattoos of different planes and spaceships. He seems really cool!

Can you imagine if Schlop had a mohawk?!

Jeopardy Cris

There is a new Jeopardy superchamp on the scene - Cris just won his 20th game today and has now won over $700k - pretty impressive! Cris is getting lots of runaways although he doesn't risk as much as James was doing on his daily doubles.

How far do you guys think Cris will go? I'm thinking he will win 25 games.

Whoops - I must have jinxed Cris by posting about him because he lost today!

He won 21 games in all which is not too shabby, and he will get to compete in the next Tournament of Champions.

James is back!

Exciting news everyone - Jeopardy is putting on a new tournament called "Jeopardy Masters" where 5 contestants from the most recent Tournament of Champions will take on James!

The six contestants are:
Amy Schneider - won the ToC and has Outdoors Bear
Matt Amodio - says "what's" every time he buzzes in
Mattea Roach - ended Matt's reign
Andrew He - barely lost to Amy in the ToC
Sam Buttrey - won the teacher's tournament but didn't do so hot in the ToC
James Holzhauer - the 2nd best player of all time next to Ken!

I can't wait to see James back in action!

Legend of Troy

Troy has long been considered one of the best trivia minds in the trivia community so there was a lot of anticipation when it was announced Troy would be on Jeopardy. And so far Troy has lived up to his reputation as he just won his 5th game. He has won 4 games with a runaway.

It will be interesting to see if Troy can go as far as some of the recent champs like Matt and Amy.

Troy won 6 games but then he lost today on a question about French cinema - too bad!

I guess even being a trivia legend is no guarantee you will be a Jeopardy super champ

Back on Jeopardy

Hi.

I was featured again on a Jeopardy question - this time it was the Final Jeopardy which is the most prestigious question:
The first name of this title character is from Hebrew for “devoted to God”; his last name suggests he can be easily duped
None of the contestants wrote down the correct question which was "Who is Lemuel Gulliver?"

The Jeopardy Masters tournament starts tonight! Luckily we can watch the episodes the next day on Hulu after they air live - we just have to avoid spoilers each day for what happened.

Go James!

James did it!

I forgot to post a follow-up to what happened in the Jeopardy Masters tournament - sorry to all the bears that were waiting so long to hear the result in this thread!

In the final James just barely eked out a win over Mattea - in fact Mattea was in the lead but nobody got Final Jeopardy right and James bet a smaller amount. Hopefully we will get to see James and Mattea again in the next Jeopardy Masters tournament!
