New Dinosaur

Post by Muffins »

Fossils discovered in southern Utah are from a new species of birdlike dinosaur that resembled a 7-foot-tall brightly colored turkey and could run up to 25 miles per hour, scientists said Tuesday.
That doesn't sound very scary! More like a giant ... turkey. What does Schlop think of all this?

Six Foot Turkey

Post by PB »

You were close, Muffins.

Kid: That doesn't look very scary more like a 6 foot turkey!

Grant: Turkey huh?

Grant: Try to imagine yourself in the late cretatious period you get a look at this 6 foot turkey like a bird bobbing it's head. Now you stay still 'case you think it vision is based on movement like T-Rex,you stare at it and it stares right back and that's when the attack happens not from the front but from the sides, and the others raptors you didn't even know were there, and he slashs at you with this
(Grant pulls out a claw)
Grant: He doesn't bite like a lion would instead he scratch here, or here, Or maybe here spilling your bowels out. So try to show a little respect!

BLT-Rex

Post by Nibs »

Ooh...MUFFINS posted! That's very exciting.

Schlop says the new dinosaur is interesting but he is still waiting for the discovery of the Schloposaurus which he hopes will become the most ferocious and awe inspiring dinosaur we've ever yet known. He thinks then the debate will finally be solved since the Schloposaurus does not have feathers or scales...but rather very soft fuzzy fur.

Hey Nibs

Post by Muffins »

What a silly question. I get the snail mail every day from the letter box. We got an invitation to some party but I threw it away since it looked like you (Nibs) had written all over the card - rendering it worthless.

PS - Please don't post random questions like this in this thread - it is supposed to be only about the turkeysaurus. I'm trying to keep these forums respectable. Someone has to do it...

Long-legged Nibs

Post by PB »

Hey- you bears who are really into evolution,

Looks like they found the missing ancestor that comes before the Whale, and apparently it's NIBS!!!

Well, at least it's "a long-tailed deer without antlers. Or an overgrown long-legged rat" which is what I assume Nibs will look like when he gets older.

Dinofuzz

Post by Muffins »

They have now discovered that dinosaurs were fuzzy! This discovery of dinofuzz gives a new picture of what it would have looked like millions of years ago when Schlopasaurs roamed the Earth.

Hey Nibs, thanks for the exciting dino news! It's good to hear the Brontosaurus is back! Isn't it amazing how the field of dino-studies is constantly changing?

I was wondering Nibs... what's Maki's favorite dinosaur?

They found a piece of amber with a dinosaur feather and a tick that was feeding on the dinosaur!

It's just like that book - Billy and the Clone-a-saurus!

Gee I hope there are no ticks on me...
