Game Shows

Post by DJ »

Game shows are of the kind you might see on TV. Like Jeopardy and the Purple Monkeys show. Talk all about it here!

Hm.... nobody seems to like this thread very much.

My favorite gameshow moment was the lady who said...

"I didn't know what that word meant either...so I said... KARATE SCHOOL"

More of the funny!

Here's one:
"During what month of pregnancy does a woman begin to look pregnant?"

"September!"
and another:
"Name an article of clothing that children are always losing?"
"Their pants."
and the one PB so excellently brought up:
[host] "What will your husband say is his favourite condiment?"
[looking confused] "O, I would say his pool table upstairs, definitely."
[the host, laughing] "Annette?"
[surprisingly confident] "I never heard that word before neither, so I'll say a karate school!"

I just heard that you made it big and won 10 million gold sneeches on Who Wants to Be a Sneechomir! Is this true?

Oh, I hope that you will still be my friend now that you are so rich and live on an island somewhere...

James and the Giant Sneech

Post by Snuffles »

All the bed bears are abuzz about the latest Jeopardy! champion - James!

So far James has won 13 in a row and is almost at a million dollars! We have been watching him each night and have been pretty impressed with how smart he is. I mean, Lee is still a better trivia player but I think James could give her a run for her money.

How many games do you think James will win in a row?

Me, I say he will win 21 and then will walk away on his own accord - like getting blackjack.

Unstoppable

Snuffles!

Your prophecy came true, at least the first part!

James won 21 games! He now holds every Top Ten finish in Jeopardy history!!! Wow!

It doesn't sound like he's walked away though. He's still going strong!

Dave and the St Louis bears have been watching each night and slipping James key answers like "Lee" and "Gulliver" when necessary.

We are so lucky to be living through this era of Jeopardy history!

Huzzah to the St Louis bears for tracking it all each night!

Go James Go!

Lee rules

Post by Shnoodles »

Lee watched a game of Jamespardy last night with us to see what all the fuss was about. There was a question about what African animals where brought into the US in the 1800's to be used by the army - and it stumped all the contestant and James didn't even have a guess!

Well, Lee knew the answer right away and is in fact an expert on how Jefferson Davis planned to train the camels, and she even knew the exact date and spot of the last camel spotted!

Let's just say that James may think he is fast on the buzzer, but there is a lot about camels that he doesn't know!

Huzzah for Lee!

James hanging on

Post by Shnoodles »

Hey you Jamespardy guys,

Yesterday was quite a rollercoaster - James was getting soundly walloped by Nate who was using James' own strategy against him. Also I think James' buzzer wasn't working very well. Maybe he ate some sticky buns before the game and the buzzer was sticking?

At one point James was losing by almost 13,000 but then he was able to go all in on a Daily Double and ultimately take the lead before Final Jeopardy. Bears all breathed a huge sigh of relief when James was able to squeak by with the victory.

A day may come when the courage of James fails, when he forsakes his buzzer and breaks all bonds with Trebec - but it is not this day!

Bears like James!

Post by Snuffles »

All good things must come to an end and today James' amazing Schlopardy run came to an end. Bears are proud of James for such a great run.

Hopefully we will get to see him again in a Tournament of Champions!
