Hey Shnoodles

I've been following Heroes a lot lately. I think I will start this thread and keep you updated on what a craptastic show it is. I think it's the new LOST and the writers are more LOST than any other show ever.

Tonight's episode promises that someone will die.

I'll write a review after i check it out tonight....

Cool!

So I think with Heroes... the way it works is that there are 10 unrelated (or loosely related) plot lines and they show each for 5 minutes. In the end you feel like something happened but really nothing did.

Let's review the Characters:

Hiro: fat japanese kid who can travel in time, but not very well
Hiro's friend: no power as of yet
Peter Petrelli: main character, he is "Rogue"- temporarily sucks other powers
Claire: sometimes called 'Claire-bear' She can heal, like wolverine. She's a cheerleader
Peter Petrelli's brother: he can fly
Hot girl: she can say things to people and they'll do them
Sylar: he is going around killing all the 'heroes' and sucking up their powers
Claire's Dad: he is also trying to collect all the heroes
Isaac: he can draw the future when he's high on heroine
Niki/Jessica: a blond hot mom who is skitzophrenic- and one personality is always trying to kill her husband and kid
The husband: a black guy who can walk through walls
The kid: he so far was able to fix a broken phone

In last night's episode...

Claire told her Dad that she had superhealing powers (after 18 years of keeping this secret). He admitted that he knew. Then he asked her who else knew. Then he sent a strange Haitian man to go erase the minds of those who knew (her brother and her best friend). She got all scared. Then the Haitian man kidnapped her and said he is supposed to erase her memory- but he wasn't going to... so she would have to pretend.

The skitzophrenic blond lady shot her husband with a shotgun many times. He continued to 'vanish' and avoid the shots... but one hit him. Then she came to kill him and her son. But when her son tripped and was bleeding, her 'good side' came back. It realized it had to put an end to the bad side, so it went to the cops and asked to be arrested.

Hiro, the fat japanese kid, and his friend met Isaac, the artist. They talked about the future and how to stop a bomb. Then the artist drew a picture of the future in which a man explodes.

Peter Petrelli, in jail at the moment for suspected link to the cheerleader's death (the cheerleader who should have been Claire) has nightmares about himself exploding.

The fat cop who can read minds (oh i forgot him in the list of characters) realized he can't read minds whenever the weird Haitian guy is around. It gave him a nosebleed.

The hot girl who can control people with her voice goes to kill Sylar (the evil guy) who is being held by Claire's Dad and instead Sylar kills her and steals her voice command powers. Too bad, she was my favorite character.

That's about it. Hm... this must be really boring to read. I wonder how twop people would recap this and make it more interesting. I guess it'd be interesting if you could picture the characters.

In retrospect, a lot of stuff did happen in that episode. Hm.... maybe this show is trying to go somewhere.

Just to clarify - Lee wrote the above post, not me. I don't know why she wrote Shnoods at the end!

Great recaplet Lee! Here is what the twop reviewer wrote (she gave the episode an A+):
Bennet's keeping Sylar in a TK-resistant room in the bowels of the Make-Believe Paper Company. We get confirmation that Sylar is, indeed, collecting abilities from all the Heroes he's killing. Bennet makes an interesting observation in regard to this, saying that he thinks Sylar's actually gone completely insane due to his brain being infiltrated by far too many superpowers. The power, it seems, has gone to his head.

Jessica actually shoots DL, but she's a shitty shot, so she has to go after him on foot while Niki stares plaintively at her from reflective surfaces. Niki thankfully resurfaces to take control back over her life (and body) when she realizes that Jessica would do anything to retain her power, even if it means hurting Micah. Matt and Clea interview Peter, and when Matt turns on his mind-reading power, Peter hilariously starts to pick up the power himself and then he and Matt spend a confusing couple of minutes reading each others minds. Heh.

Hiro, Ando, and Isaac meet up in Odessa and Hiro tells Isaac everything he saw in the future. In turn, Isaac tells them about the painting he did of the exploding man. Isaac finally gains the ability to paint his visions without the use of drugs and what he ends up painting is Hiro fighting a dragon with a sword. The Mindblower pays a visit to Lyle and Zach, and it seems he's going to erase Claire's memory too, but he has different plans for her. He tells her he works for her father and that she needs to remember her powers and keep this a secret from her dad.

Eden realizes that Bennet has been told to keep Sylar alive, and she thinks this is a bloody stupid idea (as do I) and that she can tell him to kill himself with her power of persuasion. She rather unwisely decides to take matters into her own hands and goes to see Sylar. He's more powerful than she thought, though, and he attacks her. But before he can steal her power, she blows her own brains out. Aw, Eden.

Nathan comes to retrieve Peter from jail, but he passes out on the front steps. He wakes up in a dream world New York and, as he walks through the city, he meets up with all of the Heroes, only they all look terrified of him and run away. Peter looks down at his hands and it would seem that he's glowing with fire or radiation or something and he explodes…only to wake up in his brother's arms and declare that he's going to go off like a bomb. And then it would appear that he dies. Maybe.

Hm....

Lee... I think the difference between your review and TWOP's review is that their review is ACCURATE and contains FACTS.

Let's examine all the lies you told....
lee wrote:

twop wrote: ...what he ends up painting is Hiro fighting a dragon with a sword.
Yes, dragon and sword can easily be confused with man exploding... similar shapes and images I think.
lee wrote: Peter Petrelli, in jail at the moment for suspected link to the cheerleader's death (the cheerleader who should have been Claire) has nightmares about himself exploding.
twop wrote: ... he passes out on the front steps....
If by "nightmares" you mean, Peter left jail and passed out on the steps and had a vision of himself as a bomb... then yes, you're correct.
lee wrote: The hot girl who can control people with her voice goes to kill Sylar ... and instead Sylar kills her and steals her voice command powers.
twop wrote: But before he can steal her power, she blows her own brains out.
Hm... I guess the important thing is that she is in fact dead. You got that right.

I don't think you're gonna make it yet as a TWOP writer, Lee. Work on your fact checking, eh? Better luck next episode.

Hey you Heroes guys!

Me and the bears spent all day yesterday watching the Heroes episodes! They were pretty exciting, especially being able to watch them all at once. Who are your favorite Heroes Lee? Petri really likes Petri Petrilli!

I like the cop that reads people's minds. He ate a dozen donuts too.

I like the show because it talks about waffles a lot. Claire's mom kept screaming about the WAFFLES and then Hiro was excited to eat some waffles at the diner.

Waffles.

Hey you Lee,

Are you gonna watch the new Heroes tonight?

Hey you Heroes worshippers,

Just watched the new Heroes episode - and they introduced a new hero! I don't know what his name is but he is some guy who is invisible. We know that he is invisible because he shouted at Peter Petrelli 'You can't see me! Nobody can see me! I'm invisible!' Heh. I wonder how Peter was able to see him? Anyshnood, it was a pretty uneventful episode. Lee's right that there are so many characters in play that it has to keep switching around every 5 minutes and none of the plots advance very far.

Shnoods out.

Hey Shnoods

Sorry I didn't watch the new Heroes. I'm not sure I'm going to stay loyal to that show. I've been debating starting a Buffy night instead. Might as well watch a show that I KNOW is quality...

They also moved Battleshnood to Sunday nights now... so that messes me up too...

Heroes season one finale!

Hey you Heroes guys,

I know Lee doesn't watch Heroes anymore... but I thought she might be interested to know what happened in the season finale. Peter became a bomb and exploded - but Nathan flew him into space so that no one else would be hurt. Wow! Also Hiro stabbed Sylar. Next season they say there is someone even scarier than Sylar. Scary!
