Water has memory

Post by Nibs »

Exciting times!

It sounds like Frozen 2 is almost at the St Louis Library and soon to be in the paws of the St Louis bears!

Lee and I saw it for a third time this past weekend at the Castro Theater.

Image

We still like it so much.

We are curious what the St Louis bears will think?

* Will the blue bears like Bruni?
* Will PEACHES agree that the first song sounds like a Vienna song?
* Will we all unite in how much we don't like the second song?
* Will bears like the inside jokes that are only relevant to us?
* Will Olaf's jokes make any of the bears snarf?

It sure was powerful to be in a theater with everyone singing along to every word!

Anysneech, I will be on the edge of the malm awaiting the report from the St Louis bears!

DJ staying mum

Post by Nibs »

My snources tell me the St Louis bears finally watched Frozen 2!

We hear they had some light snarfs and liked the bit about warm hugs!

We have yet to confirm or deny whether DJ liked it. We will be monitoring the air waves all day to get an answer on that.

Further scholarly debate about the merits of the plot will have to wait for our weekly call.

Still I am very happy to no longer be alone with my musings in the Frozen universe.

Into the Frozone

Post by Gulliver »

Hi.

All of us flannel bears watched Frozen II: Annihilation and we all agreed with Nibs that it is one of the top movies ever. My favorite part was when Elsa rode the water horse. Duddles liked how the parents put Anna to sleep by patting her nose. Peaches is trying to figure out how to send message to Sneeches via the wind spirit. Also, DJ said he liked it.

Then we got to chat with Nibs who is the number-one world-renown Frozen II expert and he filled us in on lots of insider secrets like the foreshadowing in Olaf's song and how the different songs came to be. It made us appreciate the movie even more and we are going to rewatch it again. Thanks Nibs.

Fuzzah for Frozen II!

Orange Mulano cookies

Post by Shnoodles »

Hey you Mushu guys,

The big news is that the Mulan remake will be available on Disney+ on the fourth of Schloptember!

The price is a little steep at $30 - but I figure if me, Snuffles, Schlupska, Duddles, Petri, Schlop, Sneeches, Nibs, Huggins, Muggins, Heidi, Flipper, Bubbles, and Lee all chip in then it will only cost $2.15 each - which is not too shabby for a movie we can watch on the comfort of our own couch.

Hey you Chi guys,

Today was the big day everyone was waiting for - we watched the new Muschlop movie!

Lee and I agreed it was an awesome movie with lots of great arrow-kicking and bird-morphing! It could have used more aerial silk dancing, though - but maybe that will be in the sequel. The big excitement was when we spotted two racing bunnies running alongside Mulan!

Mulan thought one was a male and one was a female... but perhaps they were both females and one was only pretending to be a male. Mulan was gonna go try to find them again but she got distracted by saving China - I hope the bunnies will still be there when she gets back.

They were so fast!

X-Men Origins: Olaf

Post by Gulliver »

Hi.

This Friday there is an animated short on Disney+ about the origins of Olaf. Lee and I will probably watch this and then discuss all of the deeper meanings.

Schlopya and the Last Dragon

Post by Shnoodles »

Hey you Disney guys,

Excitement has been building amongst the bears about Schlopya, and we won't have to wait much longer - it comes out in 2 days!

Sneeches was really into the music from the first trailer - and now we know a little more about the plot. It seems to involve a con-baby and a rolly polly friend and also different tribes (like Schlopatar) and a funny dragon and water that runs upstream - whoa!

Bears are excited to see what Lee makes of it!

Sisu is cool

Post by Gulliver »

Hi.

Sisu is cool because she is a good swimmer and likes to take long naps and also she has blue fur like me. Here she is getting a hug from Raya.

Her fur is blue like mine:

It's good to see blue-fur representation in Disney movies.

Bienvenido a Bogota

Post by Nibs »

Hey you Lin fans,

Tonight on Sneechmas Eve 2021, we bears are gonna virtually gather to watch Encanto together!

Sneeches has been hyping this movie for many months by constantly screaming out "COLOOOOMBIA" at inopportune times during zoom calls.

Lee and I happened to watch an unintended clip and were wowed that Lin rhymes with Cerberus! Who knows what other rhymes await us.

The plot seems to center around a house where each family member has a magic power except Mirabel who feels left out. Will she discover a magical power by the end? Or will she be like Anna and learn to be content with her non-magical existence?

Bears are excited to learn more. Maybe after this we can watch Maya and the Three and complete our South American animated exploration!

Silencio Bruno

Post by Nibs »

Oh wow, so many forum posts to catch up on!

Just circling back to let bears of the future know that we watched Encanto and enjoyed it!

Duddles liked all the mice who lived with Bruno and the St Louis Bears really like the drip drip drip song!

All bears agree they want cool new bedrooms like each of the movie characters had. Schlop's will be a world of blankets and pillows!

All in all, DJ liked it!

Eternal Return

Post by Nibs »

Whoa!

Only less than a week since Lee watched The Neverending Story at Burning Schlop, a bunch of sources at D23 leaked that Disney might be making a live action version of the movie in 2024!

https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/d ... 24.347671/

But updates say this was a false rumor (updated on that post too) and instead there is just a bidding war happening:

https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/ar ... ovie-news/

Personally, I hope they make an 8 part series exploring this film in much more detail, so we can get the backstory of Engywook, the Gnome who studies the Southern Oracle, as well as some more details about what happened when Falcor went missing, and ideally they can find a way to reincorporate Kiss from a Rose back into the series, the way it was originally intended.

Bears will keep an eye out!

Frozen 3 in the works!

Post by Shnoodles »

Hey you North Wind guys,

Big news sweeping the web today that Disney has announced Frozen 3 is in development!

Lee is the world's topmost Frozen expert - so it will be interesting to get her take on this and what Frozen 3 might entail.

Hopefully it will have lots of good music and funny Olaf recaps!
