I heard that Oprah and Dave Letterman talked about The Runaway Bunny book. Someone should read it and report back to us.

Why does the bunny run away? Does it come back?

The bunnies ran away in Watership Down because of the prophecy. You guys in St Louis should really get to reading that there book.

Hey- I heard that Lee went to Tattered Cover the other day and was in the Children's Section and read THE RUNAWAY BUNNY!!!

She said it was very good. She explained to me that the baby bunny tries to run away by transforming into various things, but the Mom bunny transforms too and catches the baby bunny every time. She said the pictures were really neat.

Thought you guys should know!

Are you St Louis bears finally gonna read that book?! Hooray.

Be careful cause it's really really scary at some parts. Make sure you don't read alone at night and if you do, make sure all the bears and huddled close so no one gets lost and scared.

I heard you guys are gonna read Watership!!! That's awesome.

I thought the first 5 pages were really confusing. Then I thought the first 40 pages or so were pretty boring. But once it starts getting scary, I was hooked! And couldn't put it down- read it all in a few days at that point.

Anyway, let me know when you're halfway through and I'll resend that old list of mine which tells you which bears correspond to which rabbits.

Can I come read it too?

Wow you guys are really excited about this book! So far we have read 10 pages!!! And get this - not 8 lines into the book and I already spotted some turd discussions!

'In places the grass was gone altogether and everywhere there were clusters of dry droppings, through which nothing but the ragwort would grow.'

Pretty cool eh? I wonder what it means?

So far Fiver has had a premonition of bad things coming (and we've seen the sign about upcoming development) and Hazel went to the Chief Rabbit to tell him, but the Chief seems unlikely to move the warren, particularly since he has a history of not moving no matter what. I'll keep you guys posted on what happens next.
