Hey Gulliver,

Next week is the big Literary festival they have in SF every year. Will you take a look at the program and let me know if there are any authors I should not miss? I don't recognize many of the names. I saw that Lemony Snicket is doing a few sessions though, maybe I can finally see him.

Hey Gulliver,

Ok I realized some events are already selling out so I went ahead and bought tickets for the Literary Death Match on Friday night since Lemony Snicket will be competing!! They just recently started doing Literary Death Matches every month in SF and apparently at the first one, this one author got really mad at this one judge (they apparently had a bad history unbeknownst to the event coordinators) and ended up throwing a beer in the judge's face!!

Hopefully Lemony Snicket will be more well behaved.

Anysneech, let me know if there are any other events you think I shouldn't miss.

Hey Gulliver,

I just saw that Perschlopolis is coming out as a movie in December! It will be animated. Do you know much about the movie? It looks cool.

Will you maybe go see it with me?

Are you reading anything good these days?

Miss you!

Hey Gulliver,

I heard you were reading a book and a guy who had to get a thousand jewels and he DID but now he has to get all 13 clocks to strike 5 at the same time!? How can he possibly do that??

Keep us posted on how that adventure goes for him! We're rooting for him!

The 13 Schlops

Hi Nibs.

I just finished The 13 Schlops. I wanted to fill you in on what happened - the Prince got the jewels and then the princess fixed the clocks by using logic. She couldn't start the clocks by touching them, but she could start them by not touching them. I think that might be a plot hole? The Duke got eaten by the Todal.

Up next I am going to read more of the Runaways. I will keep you up-to-date.

I read 'No one belongs here more than Schlop' and now I am reading the Runaways - starting with re-reading the first book. Here are the characters:

Alex - likes computer games
Chase - plays lacrosse
Nico - likes Alex?
Gertrude - has psychic velociraptor from the future
Karolina - can fly
Molly - the young one

Also I am now officially a friend with Neil Gaiman on goodreads.

Hey Nibs.

I ended up reading that book that you posted about - from 2008! Crazy, huh?

Anyways, I was posting here to talk about the great Neil short story that Lee read to me over Sneechmas. It was about Sherlock Holmes learned how to make honey in China and over all it was an amazing short story.

Lee did a great job reading it!

Hi.

Sad news today - Oliver Snacks passed away. (His real name was Oliver Sacks but I liked to call him Oliver Snacks)

I read several of his books and liked him a lot, he will be missed. Let us all celebrate his life and work by holding a moment of silence and then a moment of snacking. Thank you.
